I have a piece I'm working on for a snowboard design contest, but the deadline is at the end of December, my son is coming home on leave next Saturday, and it's a bit of an emotional roller coaster. See, my son is a soldier and is going to deploy to Afghanistan at the beginning of March. He will be performing a very important job there, and I have been dealing with a lot of stuff over the last year or so, trying to get my head around my child doing this sort of work. I'm getting there, though, because he's a grown man and can look after himself.
At the same time I've been able to focus more on what I do best, and that is art. So, I'm trying to embark on better habits.
